Mutsy Evo - review

Mutsy Evo is a fantastic from birth to 3 years pushchair from the Dutch company. I bought one preloved and it stayed with us for a relatively long time as I liked it so much! Here are my pros and cons to give you an idea of what it's like and you can find lots of photos from our adventures below.

Pros:
  • very easy to use
  • lie flat seat
  • seat is a very good size and my 4 year old fitted in it nicely
  • very light to push with one or two hands
  • easy to get up and down kerbs
  • good size wheels that cushion the ride nicely and are very quiet
  • leatherette handlebar
  • great harness
  • adjustable leg rest
  • fantastic quality footmuff (sold separately)
  • option to add a carrycot or car seat
  • can be folded with seat on in either direction and can freestand when folded although with the seat world facing the pushchair rests on the canopy
  • can handle most terrains with ease
  • automatic lock to keep the frame closed
  • handlebar rotates up and down to suit all heights.
Cons:
  • large shopping basket that unfortunately is very shallow at the back and also hangs very close to the ground so you risk loosing items or getting them dirty
  • very small canopy that doesn't provide any protection when seat is even slightly reclined
  • ill fitting raincover, too small to fit around the leg rest
  • frame scratches easily due to how the Evo folds and there's no way around that
  • folding needs two hands and takes several steps
  • the additional UV cover that can be bought is just a very expensive mosquito net that gives no extra sun protection.

Footrest scratches when you fold the chassis down,
no way around that and a real shame as it looks unsightly.

I managed to take the Evo over lots of difficult terrains and it didn't stop anywhere!

Light enough for a 4 year old to push. Handlebar adjusts low as well.

Evo UV cover is just a very expensive mosquito net, it gives
no more protection from the sun than the canopy normally does!

Perfect for school runs with room for book bags etc.
