Jane Slalom Reverse

Large parent and forward facing seat with adjustable leg rest

Large canopy with window to check on the baby

Flat recline

Hand brake on the height adjustable handlebar

and foot brake

Adjustable 5 point harness with comfort pads and a swing away bumper bar

Lockable swivel wheel at the front. All 3 wheels are air-filled tyres with good suspension.

Small shopping basket much to my disappointment

One hand recline

Folds with the seat in place in either direction but requires the canopy to be removed.

Folded size is very bulky, there's no easy way to lift it up and it's also very heavy to lift. It barely fitted in my estate BMW 3 series and took all the space in the boot once I managed to place it inside.

My son appeared very comfortable in the seat
but the push was far too heavy for an all terrain 3- wheeler

The recline was great but the harness proved to be a nightmare. When you recline the seat on the Jane Slalom Reverse the harness stays at the same length it was initially and digs into the child. You really need to loosen the harness up and then tighten it back each time you recline the seat. It shouldn't be this hard in my opinion!

The Slalom Reverse takes Jane car seats and carrycots without the use of any adapters thanks to ProFix system. It makes for an easy travel system but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who needs to fold and carry it often!

This was my own pushchair.

Baby Jogger City Select - photos

The City Select is sold as a single pushchair. By adding the second
seat/carrycot it can turn into a double/twin pushchair.

Height adjustable handlebar

Large parent and forward facing seat with a huge canopy
with an adjustable footrest and padded 5-point harness

12 inch rear wheels

8 inch swivel front wheels with ability to lock, great suspension to cushion the ride

Unless I'm wrong, the City Select has the biggest shopping basket on a single pushchair!

Very easy fold, will also fold with the seat forward facing

The canopy can be attached higher on the frame to accommodate taller children

My baby appeared very comfortable in the City Select

The push was fantastic. It's quite long and wide for a single pushchair but lets not forget the City Select can be easily turned into a fabulous double/twin pushchair.

This is my own pushchair.

BeSafe izi Go Lassig

Here's my baby's beautiful limited edition car seat!
It's a BeSafe izi Go by Lassig

It's a group 0+ car seat from birth to 13 kg or roughly 15 months of age

It comes with removable infant inserts and a height adjustable 5 point harness

The limited edition comes with a matching changing bag with lots of accessories

installed with the car's 3-point seat belt in a BMW 5 series F10

Here's my baby in the car seat at 3 days old

3 weeks old

8 months old. I've removed the second part of the infant insert only last week. She still has one more harness height position to grow into and lots of room until her head reaches the top of the seat shell.

My baby is 8 months old now and still very comfortable in the izi Go. She has lots of room left even though she's very long.
We're very happy with our choice of a car seat as it's one of the safest seats on the market and is very easy to use.
The BeSafe izi Go car seat can be used on lots of different pushchairs as it uses the 'universal' Maxi Cosi adapters.

I'd like to remind my lovely readers that just because a car seat fits on a pushchair frame doesn't mean you can use it as a replacement for a lie flat seat or carrycot. Car seats should only be used for babies for a maximum of 2 hours at a time from the moment you place the baby in the seat until you take them out. Yes, it's convenient for popping into store or for school runs but please remember regular upright car seats are not safe for babies for prolonged periods of time. There is more lie flat seats available on the market now for those parents who know they'll be in and out of the car a lot with their babies.

More information and instructional videos here.

You can order a BeSafe car seat from major stores or an independent retailer like my personal favourite Rear Facing Toddlers.

This is my own car seat.
